Devonshire Capital launches “Infinity Energy”, a specialist investment company focused on the renewable energy sector in Asia, as part of its asset management expansion programme.

Infinity Energy has been established by Devonshire Capital as a dedicated business entity to assemble and manage a diversified portfolio of renewable energy assets and clean fuel assets located throughout the Asian region.

During the last 11 years of operations, Devonshire Capital's management team of investment banking professionals has been developing an understanding of the future needs of the region; its competitive advantage in the global economy; and the potential risks of its future growth. After considering a large number of potential investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector which met the proposed investment criterion, it was concluded to establish a dedicated investment company to promote the development of clean energy initiatives in Asia.

Devonshire Capital Managing Partner, Andrew Affleck believes several factors have converged to improve the Asian outlook for the renewable energy and alternative fuel markets - the adoption of government policy promoting these sectors; the environmental challenges posed by the continued use of 'fossil fuels', the creation of carbon credit market mechanism and the impact of rising fuel prices.

"Due to price, policy and risk advantages in electricity and transportation fuel, the fastest growing segments are and will remain renewable power and clean fuels".

Accordingly, Infinity Energy has been positioned to be a major beneficiary of the development of clean energy in Asia.
