NHA seeks loans worth Bt 60bn to finance low-cost
homes - 120,000 units to be built next year.
The National Housing Authority
has set a 60-billlion-baht borrowing plan to finance the construction
of the Baan Ua-Arthorn low-cost housing program.
NHA governor Chuanpir Chaimuanwong
said some 120,000 units under the program were expected to be completed
by next year.
Funding would come from domestic financial institutions.
Assets would eventually be sold and securitised. The government
has set an ambitious target of offering up to one million housing
units to low-income buyers over the next five years.
